Lil Kim was sued by her publisher Simon & Schuster three years back, after pocketing a $40,000 advance for a manuscript, which she never handed in, but now the former Notorious B.I.G. protégé has once again announced that she will be releasing an autobiography entitled 'The Price of Loyalty,' as well as an as-yet-untitled documentary about her life.
"I've been independent. You know I left my record company two years ago, I was in another situation and that's going to be in the documentary as well," she revealed, during an interview on Kay Slay's Streetsweeper Radio. "I am not sure if I'm going to separate that documentary from that book. That's what we're trying to figure out right now."
According to MTV, the book and film will cover Kim's life, spanning from her early years with Biggie to the events that led to her incarceration in 2005, and the effects her prison term had on her career and personal life.
"I've been doing everything myself and quite frankly, for me to not have the backing or the budget that I used to have, for me to be able to still move the way I move and be relevant the way I am, I feel blessed," she said, of her mounting comeback.
Lil Kim has yet to announce a release date for her impending projects. She previously revealed the title of her book back in 2010, claiming 'The Price of Loyalty' would be published via St. Martin's Press, but it was never released.
