John Atterberry Dead: Music Exec Shooting Victim Dies

John Atterberry, the music executive who was shot in the face on Friday morning (Dec. 9) in Los Angeles, has died.

The 40-year-old industry vet, known for his work with with R&B singer Brandy, Jessica Simpson and the Spice Girls, was behind the wheel of his silver Mercedes at 10:19AM, in the heart of Hollywood, when 26-year-old Tyler Brehm when on a "random" shooting rampage, which left the respected executive in critical condition.

Brehm fired between nine and 12 shots at passing vehicles before he was killed by police, injuring a Hollywood Reporter photo editor on his way to work, and another man, who was grazed by a bullet, according to MSNBC, but Atterberry was the only seriously injured victim.

The Hollywood Reporter now reports that Atterberry, who had been listed in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai up until this afternoon, was pronounced dead at 4:51PM today.

While little is known for about the shooter's motivation, Brehm had apparently recently broken up with his girlfriend of four years, Alicia Alligood, earlier this month, an incident which some say may have triggered the otherwise inexplicable shooting spree.

According to Alligood, Brehm was a "humanitarian," and was "extremely motivated to change the world for the better."

I will bet, that all of his participation trophies made him think he was entitled to success in love and life. American youth today cannot handle any failure, rejection or loss.
It will be a long road to change that mentality.

It says, "According to Alligood, Brehm was a "humanitarian," and was "extremely motivated to change the world for the better."
There's that streak of violence just under the surface of the Liberal mind set again

Why was he yelling Ali Akybar and I know I spelled that wrong but that's what the LA tv stations reported? Maybe people who are extremely motivated are just extreme.
