According to reports, Gucci Mane, born Radric Davis, 31, was released this past Sunday (Dec. 11), after being sentenced to six months in prison on Sept. 14, for pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle. Gucci was released earlier than expected, and appeared both thankful and remorseful in an interview with XXL, who caught up with him immediately after his release.
"This is the last time I think I'll ever be in jail," Gucci announced. "It was a time for me to sit back and just refocus the whole way I do things, man. The times away from my fans just made me want to grind, get in the studio, go to my shows and appreciate my job and what I do now."
TMZ reports that Gucci has already made steps in the right direction, by agreeing to hand over $2,000 per month in child support for his 4-year-old son, after it was established that he was indeed the father.
Gucci's latest project, a collaborative album with controversial White Girl Mob rapper V-Nasty, entitled 'BAYTL,' is in stores today. Preview the album here.
