The group, which was comprised of EPMD members Erick Sermon and Parish Smith, and rappers like Redman, K-Solo, Keith Murray and Das EFX, was active between the years of 1990 and 1993. The Hit Squad disbanded due to tensions within EPMD.
Details on the reunion have the aforementioned artists uniting one stage, however, former members Hurricane G or Knucklehedz won't join the event. Sermon will still take part in the rap spectacle despite the recent heart attack he suffered in November.
Tickets to the event will go on sale this Sat., Dec.r 16. It is unclear at this point whether the reunion will be extended beyond this one show. However, things have been smoothed over within EPMD and the duo has been functionally reunited since 2006, so that is one hurdle cleared.
