"Just left the operating table and I was awake during the whole procedure," the multi-talented 31-year-old tweeted, adding the appropriate hashtag "#OUCH."
Cannon's tweet came hours after wife Mariah Carey hopped on the social networking site and said she was hoping the singer, actor and TV star -- not to mention father of her newborn twins -- would be "discharged within 2 days."
Earlier this week, Cannon was transferred from Aspen, Colo., where he reportedly fell ill during the Christmas holiday, to a hospital in Los Angeles. In a Jan. 4 Twitter post, he thanked fans for their "love, prayers and concern."
Despite having gone under the knife, Cannon appears to still be in good spirits, and after his initial post-op tweet, he hit fans with another reassuring message.
"Recovering...about to be stronger than ever!" he wrote, once again dropping a spot-on hashtag, "Ncredible!"
