Oprah Gives Blue Ivy Carter a Trunk of Children's Books

AP

Blue Ivy Carter has packed a lot of living into her two days outside the womb. Since being born on Saturday night (Jan. 7), she's become a trending topic online and recorded a song with daddy Jay-Z. Before long, she'll be reading, and thanks to Oprah Winfrey, she'll have no shortage of good books.

As The Insider reports, the TV megastar has sent Jay and wife Beyonce's baby girl a trunk full of children's books. Oprah has long been a proponent of early education -- not to mention book clubs for adults -- so her gift is perhaps not surprising.

In other Blue Ivy news, the youngster's parents have finally issued an official statement confirming her arrival on the planet she'll soon rule.

"Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven," the couple said. "She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support."

This is not good.....both the hospital and Jay/Beyonce better do damage control and quick! There is nothing worst entertainers getting the "star" treatment especially when sick people are involved. This DOES NOT look good for anyone.
