The New York Daily News' Gatecrasher reports that the New Jersey native spent some time at the South Beach venue -- touted as the "longest running gay club in Miami" -- last week. A source spilled the secret of her appearance at the spot and revealed that she hopped up onstage with a drag queen.
According to the insider, Latifah "came up out of the shadows" and joined the drag queen, who was clad in a pink and green camouflage-colored Spandex onesie, during her set. The 41-year-old rhymer-turned actress was visibly joyful -- pun intended -- and began planting kisses on the performer's cheeks as her large group of friends watched.
"[The] gay boys in the club were going wild," the source disclosed.
The star of 'Joyful Noise' is preparing for the film's debut Jan. 12. Check out The BoomBox's exclusive interview with the star, who speaks about her relationship with God and her desire to have him "fix" her as well as her future music collaboration with Dolly Parton.
