In the story, which hits newsstands Feb. 7, the 'Peso' creator and Rihanna's go-to-guy for tour wardrobe shared a candid conversation about their respective careers, a passion for fashion and music and homosexuality.
Though Rocky, 23, fancies the curves of a woman, he admits that doesn't stop him from being creatively inspired by a homosexual man.
"I can still be greatly inspired by a homosexual," he tells Complex. "It has nothing to do with their sexuality. If I start discriminating against people, that will stop me as a person. That's ignorant. What the f--- does that have to do with anything? It's not like I want to date this motherf---er -- I'm inspired by this dude."
Now that fans are actively looking for his lyrics and next video to be released, he recognizes he can possibly change the mindset of those who discriminate against gays. "I'm not saying I'm going to be an activist," he continues. "I want to enlighten those brothers. I used to be like them, but I'm a grown-ass man. I don't care what another man does with his time."
As for Scott, who is widely recognized for his zany collaborations with Adidas, he questions why there is still a place for homophobia.
"Why does it exist in the world? I don't know," he states. "It's just one of those things. I don't know why people care about what other people do. When this becomes an issue in politics, that's the thing that boggles my mind. I heard on CNN that Republicans won't get behind Mitt Romney because of abortion and gay marriage. Why do you care?"
A$AP Rocky is currently crafting his debut LP, to be released via Polo Grounds/RCA Records. His rhymes can be heard on 'Hands on the Wheel,' off Schoolboy Q's new mixtape, 'Habits & Contradictions,' which dropped earlier this month. Last year, Rocky's own 'Live.Love.A$AP' mixtape was met with praise from critics. A cut off the effort, 'Wassup,' was recently given a video treatment. VICE magazine teamed up with the rap star for the visuals, which were inspired by various flicks including 'Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory,' 'The Warriors,' 'Scarface,' 'Belly' and 'Enter The Dragon.'
