Several days ago, the lauded R&B singer debuted a photo of herself in the studio, where she is recording her fifth studio album. The project is a follow-up to her 2009 release 'The Element of Freedom.'
"Studio update: Album is coming out CRAZZZZZYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! Evident from the smile on my face!!!! Stay TUNED innnnnnnnnnnnn;-) love to u!" Keys shared with her more than 5 million followers on Twitter.
Few details have been released regarding the highly anticipated effort, though a song she performed at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas in September 2011, titled 'A Place Of My Own,' will reportedly find its way onto the LP.
The Grammy-winning entertainer, who re-released her praised debut LP 'Songs in A Minor,' last summer, also has a DJ career she's embarking on. In November of last year, the 'Fallin'' creator debuted her record-spinning alias DJ AK-47 at posh hotel Yotel in New York City. She blended tunes alongside her husband Swizz Beatz.
Besides her musical endeavors, the mother to son Egypt has taken on producer duties for the Broadway play 'Stick Fly,' which is centered around an affluent African-American family vacationing at Martha's Vineyard for the summer. The relatives experience some turmoil when the sons introduce their parents to their significant others for the first time. Keys also serves as musical composer of the play.
