Lil Wayne 'Mirror' Video: MC Crucifies Himself as Bruno Mars Watches

Lil Wayne turns inward in the video premiere of 'Mirror' featuring Bruno Mars. The visual opens with a tour of Weezy's tattoos, highlighting pieces like 'Fear God' on his eyelids and 'Life's a Gamble' on his shoulder.

But, like many rappers before him, Wayne's blasphemous symbolism may anger religious groups. With red paint on his hands -- representing blood -- the New Orleans native works on what appears to be a large scale, chaotic, Jackson Pollock-esque painting. Bruno Mars adds to the work with a chorus of "Mirror on the wall. Here we are again. Through my rise and fall, you've been my only friend."

The painting and tattoos serve as Wayne's reflection while the lyrics delve into his past. After several allusions to Jesus, the viewer quickly realizes that the painting is not chaotic but a clear image of Weezy -- crucified on a treble-clef cross.

The "misunderstood" -- he has the word inked over his eye -- rapper flows with, "I see the change; I see the message. And no message coulda been any clearer, so I'm starting with the man in the..." crediting Micheal Jackson for teaching him to look within.

I'm definately going to buy that book....So I just watched this video by chance of random selection. Ok I paused and played and paused and played some more once I saw Wayne on a "cross"--really? I was appauld and I knew exatly who the author of that was--Satan. So I chose to google what I just saw and I came across your posting. I feel the exact same way that you feel. I used to talk to my friends all the time about the spiritual side of this world and the invisible battle that's going on all day everyday but it's up to us to recognize them. It's like once you take the blinders off you will be aware of what's really going on out here. This is one of my pet peeves---How do you(people) believe in all these goons and goblins, wizards, vampires, demons,etc..----and think they are "FRIENDLY STUFFED ANIMAILS" or rabbits hopping in the sweet dewy grass??? HELLO?? Like society has gotten so "used" to demonic activity that they are blinded by deceptive Satan into thinking that these facades are our sexy, cool, loving friend to play with. But he is a Wolf in Sheep clothing attacking each person unawares to what's right in front of their faces....LOL I just went hard. "It's like fire shut up in my bones like Jerimah it won't leave me alone..Fire"

Lil' Wayne new Video - Mirror (Art or Blasphemy?) Read the Article from the Book, "Deadest Rapper Alive: The Rise of Lil' Wayne and the Fall of Urban Youth" that shows what has happened to similar artists. http://wp.me/P1TK3q-sE

I have written in the book, "Deadest Rapper Alive: The Rise of Lil' Wayne and the Fall of Urban Youth", that there exists a certain danger when Rap Artists begin to cross the invisible line of spiritual blasphemy against or emulation to the Lord Jesus Christ. In 1996 Tupac Shakur released his infamous “Makaveli” album cover depicting himself as the Lord Jesus crucified on a cross. He would soon after be killed in a Las Vegas shoot-out. Mega-star Kanye West, similar to Tupac, actually posed as blood-soaked Jesus Christ, on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine. The headline was titled, “The Passion of Kanye West.” Sadly ayear later, West’s mother would die suddenly as a result of cosmetic surgery complications. Rapper Big L released his infamous song, “Devil’s Son” in which he fantasizes about murdering Jesus. He later would be murdered (being shot 7 times in the head) at the rise of his career. Popular Rapper O.D.B. of the Wu Tang Clan was planning to change his stage name to ‘Big Baby Jesus’ before he suddenly died of a drug overdose in 2004. Popular Latino Rapper Big Pun recorded in his song “Super Lyrical”, “I’m battlin’ Jesus if he passes through my label I’m snatchin’ his halo…Just call me Baby Jesus cuz lady n*ggaz be praisin’ me.” The rapper would die of respiratory failure at the tender age of 28 years-old. And it was Notorious B.I.G. that penned some of the darkest lyrics in popular Hip Hop’s history. Before his death in 1997, he recorded a song titled, “All Men Are Dogs” in which he states, "Brooklyn freaky n*gga with the most stuff I’m Jesus pops, Mary just blame Joseph. You should see her drink the s*men. She s*ck a mean one. Leaving them three apostle’s scheming.” The rapper would meet a violent end when he was murdered on March 9th, 1997.

I would not want to be in Lil' Wayne's shoes, or mirror.
