The Boombox shadowed J. Cole for a day during a promotional trip to NYC last year, where he revealed to us that a young fan told him that his music helped him to fight cancer.
"I had one kid tell me that he had cancer and the only reason he felt like he beat it was 'cause a song that I made got him through it," Cole told The BoomBox. "I got wild stories."
