Nicki Minaj shows off her animated personality in a new promo clip for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. LL Cool J, who hosts this year's show on Feb. 12, joins the Young Money rhymer as they engage in a bit of hip-hop fun.

The veteran rapper beatboxes for the blonde wig-wearing MC, who dances to the beat he creates. However, her body wants to move faster than his mouth can put out sounds.

"You gotta speed it up. What's up? I'm tryna get it poppin'!" Nicki tells LL.

"How fast you want my lips to move?" he responds, to which the 'Stupid H--' creator says "pause."

The 29-year-old entertainer will compete in Grammy categories for Best New Artist, Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance as well as perform her new song, 'Roman Holiday,' at Sunday's ceremony.

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles' Staples Center, Feb. 12 at 8PM ET on CBS.
