LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police in Las Vegas say rap music mogul Suge Knight was arrested a traffic warrant and a misdemeanor drug charge.

Officer Laura Meltzer says the 46-year-old former Death Row Records executive was stopped driving a black Bentley with California plates about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on a street just off Flamingo Road west of the Las Vegas Strip.

Meltzer says Knight was charged with making an unsafe lane change and possession of less than one ounce of a controlled substance and was released from jail without bail. Knight's court date wasn't immediately available.

Attorney David Chesnoff has represented Knight in previous Las Vegas cases. He's traveling and wasn't immediately available for comment.

Celebrity website TMZ first reported the arrest. It says Knight had marijuana with him when he was stopped.

Can we say......"PROFILING"? Large black man, driving a Bentley. C'mon....how many people do you see in a day that make an "unsafe lane change"? Sounds to me, this officer was curious as to who the rich guy was in the Bentley, then when she approached the vehicle and got a wiff of "herb", she jumped on the change to get her name posted on "HUFFINGTON POST". Her dream has come true. She will probably retire now from the force.

Music exec? Rap exec and that has nothing at all to do with music. This guy knows about as much about music as a nun knows fornicating.

I am guessing The Huff is so out of touch that they didn't know Suge Knight doesn't even have a label anymore and is a former music mogul from the late 90's and hasn't had anything music related in a decade.

Incredible hypocrisy...probably arrested by cops that are smokers themselves and then taken to a jail where all guards have smoked pot and will be tried by a judge that has some pot at home....wtf....we keep spending billions of dollars controlling a substance of general use that even the President has used. If this is a crime then we all have a criminal at home!!!!!
