M.I.A. Middle Finger: Madonna Says Act Was 'Teenager Thing to Do'

It's been almost a week since Madonna's halftime show at the Super Bowl -- and for the most part, the reviews have been positive. However, the one dark cloud hovering over Madge's sporty triumph came courtesy of her duet partner, M.I.A. In case you missed it, the always-edgy rapper used her turn in front of the cameras to flip the middle finger at the TV audience ... and Madonna is none too pleased about it!

During an interview this morning (Feb. 10) with Ryan Seacrest, Madge admitted that she "wasn't happy about" the M.I.A. bird flip. The Material Girl went on to slam the actions of her 'Give Me All Your Luvin'' collaborator, calling them a "teenager, irrelevant thing to do."

Ironically, the always-controversial Madonna played her first Super Bowl performance pretty safe. After weeks of speculation as to what stunts Madge may pull, the mother of four stuck to singing her old classics like 'Open Your Heart,' 'Express Yourself' and 'Like a Prayer.'

I wasn't surprised at this classless tramps desperate grab at publicity. Don't know what she was paid for flipping off America, but I DO KNOW that there should be a clause in these "stars" contracts, stating that any stunts such as this nullifies the contract, and they don't recieve a penny. Not only that, but are subject to legal actions, i.e. lawsuits against the slugs who think this kind of crap is "cute".

First of all it wouldn't have been a big deal, if the media had not jumped all over it. I mean with all honesty with all of the other stuff going on on that stage who actually saw her do it.

Second, get over it ... (not that it makes it right) but I am sure that your children have all heard and seen worse. Here is a novel idea, parent your own kids and stop expecting the television to do it for you.

"Hey Jimmy and Emma, what you just saw that lady do on TV is not nice and you should never do it." ----- see how easy that was ... and keep it moving.

It is so disheartening to see people get so bent out of shape about trivial things. How about being mad about things that really matter, like how many children are in the foster care system without permanent homes, or what about how our children are being out performed by children around the world because of our failed education practices.

Or even more still lets get mad about the fact that so many people are out of work right now and have been for a long time.

Just food for thought.

I am sure Madonna made sure that her "guest" singers knew about keeping it "family oriented" and M.I.A. just decided to not listen. That young lady may have talent, but she sure needs to GROW-UP! Thank you Madonna, for a wonderful half time show. I truly enjoyed it.
