Alicia Keys, Grammys 2012: Singer Pairs With Bonnie Raitt, Honors Etta James

As Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt pointed out during tonight's Grammy Awards, Whitney Houston isn't the only R&B giant we've lost this year. Back in January, the world said goodbye to the legendary Etta James, and early in tonight's ceremony, Keys and Raitt paid tribute to the soul icon, covering 'A Sunday Kind of Love.'

Keys held it down on piano, while Raitt played guitar. The superstars shared vocal duties, clearly welcoming the opportunity to honor a lady who influenced both of their careers.

"We love you, Etta," Key said at the conclusion of the performance, ensuring that one of the all-time greats got her due.

Check out the historic and heartfelt performance below:

Beautiful dedication. Why are they so unlikely? Two legs, two hands passion for music and the cause. Here's a thought. "Music Legend and future legend honor one of the greatest singers of all time."
