Ray J's new book, 'Death of the Cheating Man: What Every Woman Must Know About Men Who Stray,' debuts Tuesday (Feb. 14), but rather than celebrate his collaborative effort with author Maxwell Billieon, he's mourning the loss of Whitney Houston, a woman he was widely recognized for befriending and becoming intimate with.

The 31-year-old brother of Brandy canceled many of his press appearances to promote the book -- including an In House here at The BoomBox Feb. 13 -- due to Houston's untimely passing Sat., Feb. 11, on the eve of the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. He has since steered clear of the paparazzi and is reportedly "crushed" by his former lover's death.

Before Whitney Houston died, the two were seen leaving Los Angeles restaurant Le Petit Four on Feb. 3. Ray J has been linked to Houston since 2010, following her 2007 divorce from ex-husband Bobby Brown. The 'Raydiation' creator spoke to The Insider about his relationship with Houston several days prior to her death, stating that the media blow it "out of proportion." "We've always been friends and we've kept everything hush-hush and just quiet and we really don't focus on that," Ray J admitted.

'Death of the Cheating Man' exposes the hidden truth about unfaithful men and explores how deceit in a relationship is the demise of the American family. Billieon uses Ray J as a case study in the book.

Chic must have hit rock bottom to have anything to do with this loser. She was on drugs to try to raise this kid. And I'm suppose to be sorry she is dead? I think not. She did the world a favor trying to drink a tub or water. Tub water is not a cocktail lady. Atleast put some ice in the tub if you are gonna drink from it. Too bad that J dude wasn't in the water.
