Vivian Green Speaks on Black History Month, 'Soundtrack for a Revolution'

The rare opportunity to study music history in school exposed R&B vocalist Vivian Green as a child to timeless freedom songs that were a part of the civil rights movement, which has led to her latest effort with this week's release of 'Soundtrack for a Revolution.' The 10-track album, which accompanies and scores the acclaimed theatrical film of the same name, features The Roots, Joss Stone, Wyclef Jean, Mary Mary and others, singing renditions of those civil rights-era songs.

During a recent interview with The Huffington Post, the Philadelphia native opened up about her involvement with the project, the relevance of its release during Black History Month, and details on her forthcoming yet-to-be-titled album.
