Rihanna, who wore a golden Givenchy gown that matched her new blonde tresses, scored the award for International Female Solo Artist for the second year in a row, and thanked her fans during her acceptance speech.
"At times when I feel misunderstood, my fans always remind me that it's OK to be myself and I'll never forget you for that," the 24-year-old 'Birthday Cake' creator stated.
She also performed her chart-topping hit 'We Found Love,' off her sixth LP, 'Talk That Talk,' at the ceremony, which can be viewed below.
British newcomer Emeli Sande, whose debut LP, 'Our Version of Events,' dropped earlier this month in the U.K. and will have a stateside release in spring, took home the BRIT Award for Critics' Choice.
Other winners include Bruno Mars for International Male Solo Artist.
