Pleasure P Concert Shooting: One Person Dead, Four Injured

A Pleasure P concert that occurred in Wichita, Kansas on Saturday (March 10) turned deadly when a gunman opened fire, killing one person and injuring four others.

The former Pretty Ricky member performed at Doc Howard's Lounge and at the close of his set, a fight broke out. Concert-goers, who exited the venue due to the fight, were greeted outside by a gunman who was shooting.

"It happened in the middle of the street in the most neutral part of Old Town," said Bryan Shapiro, owner of Doc Howard's. "They just happened to run in our direction."

A resident of the area told The Wichita Eagle that he heard seven to eight shots in the vicinity.

Wichita police said that officers chased a man armed with a gun into a nearby parking garage. Inside, cops exchanged gunfire with the suspect.

Police confirmed to The Eagle that one of five people who were wounded had died. No other details surrounding the shooting have been released.
