Director Colin Tilley crafted the visuals, which combines images like dead fish, flashing cameras and the standard shot of a busty lady with miniature figures hopping off a boat, Missy Elliott serving as the Roc Nation rapper's therapist and computer keys spelling out poignant words.
Elliott rocks an edgy 'do and a studded leather jacket while singing the chorus as the North Carolina MC dons glasses and designer threads as he reflects on his career.
Last year, The BoomBox spent a day with J. Cole while he promoted his new LP. During that time, the Roc Nation signee revealed that his music inspired one young fan enough to help him get through his battle with cancer.
"I had one kid tell me that he had cancer and the only reason he felt like he beat it was 'cause a song that I made got him through it," Cole told The BoomBox. "I got wild stories."
