Damon Dash Responds to Curren$y Lawsuit, Lil B's NYU Lecture & More News

Damon Dash has responded with "surprise" regarding former signee Curren$y's allegations that he released two of Spitta's albums without his permission. According to a statement from his lawyer, "My client wishes Curren$y the best in all of his future career endeavors. However, he has expressed a deep concern with respect to the manner in which the artist's attorney and manager have conducted themselves. He sincerely hopes that Curren$y is not being misled or pressured into making unwise decisions, such as the filing of what appears to be a potentially frivolous litigation." Damn, dad. [HipHopDX]

2 Chainz is hoping to cause a "Riot" with his incendiary new video, which he shot in an abandoned warehouse in his native Atlanta. "Basically the whole concept behind 'Riot' with the video is basically ... what the title says," 2 Chainz told MTV. "We starting a riot." The video is slated to premiere sometime next week. [MTV]
