Drake, Aaliyah: Posthumous Collaboration In the Pipeline?

When a plane crash took the life of Aaliyah back in 2001, Drake was just a young actor getting his start on the Canadian teen soap Degrassi: The Next Generation. As a result, the eventual rap star never got the chance to work with the '90s R&B great -- whose face he has tattooed on his back -- but in a recent interview with Tim Westwood, Drizzy sparked rumors of a posthumous collaboration.

"I have some great Aaliyah news coming soon," the Canadian MC said, according to Rap-Up.com. "Some special things."

Asked to elaborate, the Take Care creator declined to say more, though he promised "great things for music, period."

He was more candid when talk turned to what, exactly, he likes about Aaliyah's music.

"You know it's hard for me to ride around to a female singer because at the end of the day, you're a man, but she always kept it so G with the writing and the melodies," Drake said. "It was something to ride to, especially when it was chopped and screwed."

G? Chopped and screwed?
Drake is so embarrassing, especially when he tries so hard to sound cool (which has the opposite effect).
