According to the Toronto Sun, police arrived at the London Music Hall after 11:30PM after shots were fired.
"We responded to a report of a shooting inside the music hall," Sgt. Basra told the publication, adding that the investigation was still continuing. "I have very little information on what's gone on inside other than that there's been a shooting and we have a person who has been taken to hospital."
According to the London Free Press, London Middlesex EMS said one person was taken to hospital but no other details as to their condition or gender was provided.
"We were just running away, trying to get safe," one man told the publication. "I saw people running away. We went outside and we couldn't leave right away, we had to answer a few (police) questions first." The man, who refused to give his name, said the shooting took place in the back of the venue while the opening act performed.
There was no comment from the club's owner as to what took place inside the 600-seat venue, which was at capacity. Security was reportedly doubled in light of the shooting earlier this week at Young Jeezy's previous concert at Toronto's Sound Academy. A man was shot three times at the concert but no arrests have been made.
"London, Ontario get ready to be #TurntUp tonight," Young Jeezy tweeted before the show.
The rapper was slated to perform in Montreal this evening as part of the Montreal Hip Hop Festival, but the show has now been canceled. Promoters MTL Concerts tweeted: "Young Jeezy's concert in Montreal tonight has been canceled, due to what happened in London and T.O."
