Jay-Z: Jay Electronica Album is Almost Done, 'Scary Good'

Jay Electronica's label boss Jay-Z has promised that his protege's long-awaited Roc Nation debut Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn) is finally "really close" to seeing release.

"I want people to be creative and not traditional, not just a single [at] this time, this time [and] this time," Jay-Z told MTV of his approach in cultivating the gifted, mercurial MC's first official full-length. "You know, he operates at his own time, but the album is really close."

Jay Elec revealed that the album was finally finished and turned in back in March, tweeting "Dear Believers and Patient Supporters. Thank you for your patience and support. The Album will be turned in Tomorrow evening. The wait ends."

While Jigga did not confirm the album's completion or release date, he did reveal something of equally importance -- Jay Electronica's record is "scary good."

"It's exactly what it should be -- it's amazing. Him as a lyricist is almost scary. He's scary good," Hov explained. "I'm doing something to it that's really untraditional, so we'll see how it works."

In the meantime, Jay has released a couple of songs (literally, just a couple) since his signing, including "Call of Duty: MW3" with Prodigy, back in October, 2011, and "Dear Moleskine," this past April.
