Chaka Khan's 'American Idol' Skin-Tight Catsuit: Hit or Miss -- Photo, Poll

Soul singer Chaka Khan's slimmer figure was on full display during Wednesday night's (May 23) "American Idol," where Philipp Philipps was crowned the Season 11 winner. The 59-year-old, who recently shed 60 pounds, wore a brown, body-hugging catsuit as she commanded the stage, which can be seen in The BoomBox gallery below.

Fellow songstress Fantasia Barrino also stepped to the "American Idol" stage in a catsuit, however, Khan glowed in her more covered, glittering get-up compared to Barrino's thigh-revealing ensemble.

Khan performed her 1978 hit "I'm Every Woman," off her debut LP, Chaka, for the audience, who were not only paying attention to her lyrics but also her fit frame.

I love Chaka...but she should leave the catsuits to the younger women..she had her days with Rufus. Hang up the catsuit, Chaka...smooches.

I agree with some....Idol should be returned to it's search for "talent". The reason this season appeared to have so many talents.......because they haven't have any in many seasons. Screaming and yelling is NOT singing OR talent. Carrie was right
not to sing in the finale. Carrie....Kate McP.... and maybe 1 or 2 others.....were the last REAL singers they have have in years. Last I checked the word LOVE was one
sound not 25 lov a a a a a a a a a a av e. Jimmy your choice of the music this years was about 90% cramp. Making Jessics....Hollie....Skyler and voice their
voices for your"gravel and screaming" is going to ruin young and talented vocal chords. What do you care?? You and Randy have your "rock star" and the hell with the real talent. JESSICA, Hollie....I hope your parents and help you find a caring producer and allow you to record REAL music.......You have Y E A R S and Y E A R S ahead of you UNLESS to allow them to have you scream instead of sing......then...maybe 2 at best. Best talent IDOL has had since Carrie....who doesn't need to yell....she has REAL talent and voice quality. Good luck ladies.

I also thought she sounded terrible all she did was scream, terrible If she was being voted for american Idol she wouldnt of made it very far.

My first thought when I saw her is when she sees this she will be so embarassed, who dressed her?? they should be fired, I wouldnt let my best friend walk out the door looking like that, it was hideous.

Its not her outfit, it is what she chose to wear UNDER it, you could see ALL her panty lines, I am sure they could have helped her out a bit more with the udergarments.
