Gwyneth Paltrow Uses 'N----s' on Twitter, The-Dream Comes to Her Defense

The controversy involving Gwyneth Paltrow, Twitter, the N-word and Jay-Z and Kanye West just won't go away. To recap, the actress set off a firestorm last week when she tweeted a photo of herself onstage with the Watch the Throne duo. The caption read, "Ni---s in Paris for real @mrteriusnash (the dream) tyty, beehigh," and many cried foul at Paltrow's casual use of the dreaded epithet, even though it's in the title of the song.

Now, the man at-tagged in the infamous tweet, The-Dream, has hopped to Paltrow's defense, explaining that he was the one manning her phone.

"Fyi Sorry for the Confu I typed Ni**as in Paris for real from Gwens phone. My bad I was Fkd up please excuse it! We were lit! [sic]" he tweeted.

In another post, he elaborated on why fans ought to give Paltrow a break.

"N---a doesn't have any power over me which is why this will be the last thing I say about it," he tweeted. "A word means something when u react to it! ... Context is everything. Meaning it in the context as a Song which is how we Sold it to the world!!!!!! It is what it is ... And actually N---az was in Paris! LOL. Stop wasting God's time and do something with your life. Love not war."

What do you think? If The-Dream sent the tweet, is Paltrow off the hook? If he's covering for her, and she's actually responsible, should the public be miffed?

Hit us up @theboombox -- or have The-Dream do it for you -- and let us know what you think.

Considering how often it is used by the colored community this word should no longer have any power over them or cause a reaction from them. It is a word and we have plenty of others that are just as ugly.

We all have a responsibility to keep it out of out vocabulary, black and white alike. We have come too far to drag that word into the future

It seems to me that most people have a similar definition of the "N" word, and if someone uses it to describe or characterize themselves, they're probably accurate.

if this is all you have to worry about, count your blessings then get the hell over it. if blacks want to call themselves niggers, let them but they should get over the fact that others will start calling them that too. now. can we please move on?
