Before a show at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City Thursday night (Aug. 9), for a special G-Shock 30th Anniversary event, the Shady Records founder spoke with Shade 45 radio host Sway Calloway about what's to come on the forthcoming project.
"I've actually kinda just started," he explained, as MTV reported. "I've been on the move a little bit too, so I've in between things, sneak songs in here and there. We actually just finished the [Slaughterhouse] album last week... Now I've got time to be able to start doing things for my own project."
While working with Slaughterhouse -- comprised of Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Royce da 5'9" and Crooked I -- Em admitted to "stealing" some of his mentor Dr. Dre's secrets. "All of Dre's little tricks, I've stolen over the years," he stated.
With that work ethic in tact, Slim Shady says he's "trying to take that next step" with the follow-up to 2010's Recovery, his last album.
