Shaolin meets Yonkers on Wu-Block, a collaboration between the Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block that promises to be one of the hardest-hitting New York City hip-hop records of the fall.

Due out Oct. 9, the album features such Wu luminaries as Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Raekwon and GZA, as well as D-Block members Sheek Louch, Jadakiss and Styles P.

Wu-Block -- apparently the name of both the group and the album -- have also announced a string of August and September tour dates, and as a preview of what fans might expect, they've dropped the disc's first single, "Union Square," which finds Ghost and Sheek trading verses over a thumping beat.

"This is a unique street album combination like carnation milk with oatmeal," says Ghostface, poetic as ever. "And a dash of cinammon. We got killing on lock. It's like assisination day -- nothing but darts being thrown. It's like Batman and Robin shit. It's real street sh*t for the fans. They've been thirstin' for this."
