Kendrick Lamar Release Date Pushed Back, Kid Cudi Collaboration Recorded

Gino DePinto, AOL

Kendrick Lamar has officially pushed back the release date of his Aftermath debut, good kid, m.A.A.d. city, from Oct. 2 to Oct. 22. Despite this news, which is concerning since the label has a history or shelving artists, the album sounds promising, and will now apparently include an appearance by Kid Cudi.

"I just recently did a Kid Cudi collabo," Kendrick revealed in an interview with Bay Area radio station 94.9. "I like Kid Cudi a lot. He got a crazy, unique [style]. I just really felt the opportunity to knock that out on this next, upcoming album."

While details about the Black Hippy rep's album are still scarce, besides Cudi's potential addition and the reported Lady Gaga feature, Kendrick also revealed that Erykah Badu, D'Angelo and Sade are among the artists he'd most like to score a guest feature with.

Check out the interview here. Kendrick Lamar will be headlining the BET Music Matters tour with fellow Black Hippy crew members Jay Rock, Ab-Soul and MMG rapper Stalley, from Sept. 7 to Oct. 26.
