Rihanna Showcases New Tattoo in Honor of Late Grandmother -- Photo

Rihanna is keeping the memory of her late grandmother close to her heart -- literally.

The singer added yet another tattoo to her ever-growing collection when she inked a likeness of the Egyptian goddess Isis between her breasts. The 24-year-old pop star posted a picture of the tat on her Instagram account, along with the message, "Goddess Isis - Complete Woman - Model for future generations - #GRANGRANDOLLY - always in and on my heart #1love."

While RiRi maintained modesty by covering her breasts with her arm, the picture shows a sizeable image of the goddess, who is recognized for representing the ideal mother in Egyptian culture.

Rihanna publicly mourned the loss of her grandmother, who passed away June 30, when she expressed her grief via Twitter. The tattoo is just another step in Rihanna's ongoing transformation. In June, she inked an Egyptian falcon on her ankle, and last week she graced the 2012 MTV VMAs red carpet with a freshly-shorn pixie cut.

Don't worry about it. In 20 years it will be covered up anyway. Even fake boobs fall down eventually.

Its her body and tattoos are what one wants put on their body and for their own reason and I don't think it is anybodys business but the one who has the tat. Everyday people get tattoos and there are more and more tattoo shops opening up around the country and something must be keeping them going.

If people worried about important things like the economy picking up or jobs for the people or hunger and homeless people and famlies it would be a better world but when they have to worry about what tattoo someone gets or who is sleeping with who or what ever that shows why our country is in such a mess. Everybody wants to worry about what their next door neighbor or some rich person is doing. This is another case of MYOB

When she releases photos of her tatoos to the media and people like/dont like it people are going to chime in with an opinion. And yes these tabloid stories will not change the enviroment, stop world hunger and bring peace to the Middle East.
So I guess her and her agent made it our buisness.
Gotta gto and find out what my neighbors are up to,later.

What about your own whining, Mary? What about respecting other people who have the right not to agree with you, or think that not everything Rihanna does is "art"?

That was such a stupid idea, when she gets older she would surely regret it, especially when someone new and younger would take her position and she would mean 'washed-out' to the world she would be beat and have a whole leap of ugly tats all over her like a piece of cloth. Such a stupid idea, ugliest big tat I've ever seen though.

Ugly as sin. Self-mutilation- this woman is mentally ill. Would she "show off" her cutting and track marks? Would the media jump for joy each time she chopped off a finger? Sad. Sick society.
