Lecrae's sixth studio album, Gravity, has garnered him a career accomplishment. The effort topped the Billboard Christian, Gospel, Independent, and Rap Album charts, and sold over 72,000 copies in its first week earlier this month. However, while many rappers head to the club to pop expensive bottles of Moet or buy a pricey ride to celebrate their success, the 32-year-old Reach Records signee didn't do any of that. He's just thinking of the next project on his plate. "I'm on a mission," he tells The BoomBox. "What's next?"

For Lecrae, it's his 30-city Unashamed tour. He'll hit the road beginning Oct. 3, performing at the Best Buy Theater in New York City. Tracks off Gravity, a follow-up to his 2011 LP, Rehab: The Overdose, will surely be a part of the show. The rhymer will likely serve up his Big K.R.I.T.-assisted effort "Mayday" too. The two southern gentlemen united for the song out of a mutual respect for the other's skills.

"I thought he'd be good for it specifically because I heard him do introspective songs like that in the past," Lecrae shares. "I knew I wanted to do something along those lines and just thinking of the landscape of hip-hop now and who are those artists, who do I gel with and who do I like, [it was] K.R.I.T."

Speaking of rappers he's fond of, there are many that have influenced his overall career. Just listen to his new opus and there's a good chance a hint of their styles can be heard in the lyrical expression showcased. Here, Lecrae reveals his top five favorite rappers and the songs that made him a fan of their work.
