That wasn't the only surprise that Hov had in store for fans. After announcing that he'd live-stream the final concert and release an eight-song EP from the event, the "Empire State of Mind" rapper brought out a special guest for his last show.
What could possibly top seeing Jay-Z live at a Brooklyn stadium he helped establish? Seeing him perform with his superstar wife Beyonce, of course. Bey joined her husband onstage to an ecstatic crowd.
Although she's now a mother, the "Run the World (Girls)" singer looked more fierce than ever, performing "Diva" along with "Crazy in Love" and joining her husband on his The Blueprint 3 ballad "Young Forever." Jay also gave his wife a playful smack on the butt during their "Crazy in Love" collaboration at the 4:58-mark in the video below.
But watching the mother of his child perform distracted Jay-Z to no end. He missed his cue to come in for his rap on "Crazy in Love," which he sheepishly admitted later. "Oh shit, I should probably rap here," he explained of the mistake.
Clearly, Jay and Bey are just as crazy in love now as they've ever been.
