Flavor Flav has reportedly been released from a Las Vegas jail after being charged with a felony assault.

The sometime Public Enemy hype man/reality TV star was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence battery on Wednesday (Oct. 17), following a domestic dispute with his fiancee and her teenage son, and has now been freed on $23,000 bail.

Flav, born William Drayton, 53, was accused of threatening his fiancee's son with a knife, according to police.

"The caller advised she had been involved in a physical altercation with her fiance, who was identified as William Drayton," the Las Vegas police said in a prepared statement.

Flav is due in court on Monday. He faces up to six years in prison if found guilty of assault with a deadly weapon, and up to six months if convicted of the domestic violence charge.
