Choice lyrics from the jazzy song include the lines "She believed in fairy-tales and princes/ He believed in jazz, women, booze and this thing called soul," which might actually both be beliefs straight from the religion of Prince himself.
Since no mere television studio can contain the glory of Prince, he performed the new song on an outdoor stage, to a fairly large and vocal crowd.
Introducing the song with a melody of his hits, his Royal Badness followed up "Rock & Roll Love Affair" with a rendition of "The Dance Electric." Watch the performance below.
