Chris Brown, Charity Work: Singer Set to Give Back to Teens

Chris Brown wants to give back in a big way.

According to HollywoodLife.com, Chris is planning on handing out financial grants to programs that will educate teens about the importance of the arts in low income areas. On Monday, he's launching the Symphonic Love Foundation, with his own money funding the project.

A source told Hollywood Life: "Chris wanted to focus on supporting arts programs because art has been such an integral part of his life. It's been a way for him to express who he is ever since he was a young child. He's been quietly painting for years and sees it as a positive outlet for low income children."

The foundation has reportedly been in works for three years. On his site that launches on Monday, there will be a place for young people to show off their artwork and creativity. Chris will also support education programs on domestic abuse and dating violence, as well as HIV/AIDS programs.

"Chris has been extremely generous with both his finances and time with his foundation," the source continued. "He really wanted to find an effective way to help children and teens. This will be one of the most active foundations established by anyone in his generation. He will be actively engaging with young people and his fans with it."

Brown seemed to confirm the news on his Twitter, linking to the article.

Chris, this is a good thing that you're doing for the kids. As a person that has no art talent, (me) I admire those that do. Good luck with this adventure.
