He released the new track "Drop" today, and the song ironically involves him running a quick "errand," which he obviously cannot do at the moment, as the Maybach Music Group MC is under house arrest, after turning himself in for armed robbery back in October.
After being released on $150,000 bond, the "Rap Sheet" rapper apparently went right back to work on his forthcoming LP, Medellin, which is scheduled for release by Def Jam in early 2013.
The Money on the Carpet creator was also recently involved in an altercation involving 50 Cent and his crew at the 2012 BET Hip Hop awards show. Hopefully house arrest will help him settle down a little bit and focus on his music.
The track features insistent synths that lend an air of unease to his rap about dropping off drugs. Considering the subject matter, maybe house arrest isn't really affecting him at all.
