Solange Knowles, TSA: Singer Gets Afro Pat Down at Miami Airport

The TSA are weary of Solange Knowles' afro. The singer, and official Blue Ivy babysitter, recently took to Twitter to tell fans about her hairy run-in with the Transportation Security Administration at a Miami airport.

"I kid you not. This just happened to me," Solo tweeted, linking to a story about a woman who had gone through an embarrassing fro pat-down at an Atlanta airport.

Knowles was asked to remove her wig as well, in order to prove there was nothing hiding in it. Of course, no weapons were found.

"Discrim-FRO-nation," she later tweeted. "My hair is not a storage drawer. Although, guess I couuld hide a joint up in here. *Blames 'Romnesia' (my wigs name),"

Despite her chipper attitude (and perfectly placed, last-ever mention of 'Romnesia' by anyone) she couldn't help getting in a few more jabs at the TSA.

"Lets play a little game called: 'What did TSA find in Solange's Fro?'" Hilarity ensues.

So what did we learn today? If you've got a big fro, the TSA will probably want to take a closer look at it. Oh, and Solange is still awesome.

i hope she doesn't think she should get the "star" treatment... i don't even think the so called stars deserve to get special treatment.. so what..they have money .. big deal.. !!and if your hair is bigger then your body.. it's gonna get checked..!

Are Muslim women asked to remove their headwear? Are all those who wear wigs asked to remove them? Even though Ms. Knowles did not say so, I believe they took her in a private area to do her "fro check." There was nothing inappropriate and checking those areas are critical to assuring safety for all passengers. She was not humiliated in public. It's a new world here in the United States thanks to 19 terrorists. Flight crews and passengers lost their lives, along with twin towers being blown to bits and almost 4,000 people also losing their lives. NYC residents were traumatized as well as all visitors. Get over it, Ms. Knowles. You're nothing special when it comes to national security!

solange never mentioned race,or being pat down because she was wearing an afro. all she said is her wig was checked for whatever reason. she made a joke of it and didnt see anything wrong with how they handled the situation. so all you whites calm down,she didnt say anything about race,u people are
