Alicia Keys: Baby Egypt Joins Mom Onstage at iHeartRadio Live Performance (PHOTOS)

Last night (Nov. 27) Alicia Keys put on an intimate performance in conjunction with iHeartRadio for an audience of Hurricane Sandy first responders, volunteers and their guests.

The New York-native's thank you to those who came to the rescue of the hardest hit neighborhoods included classics like her debut single "Fallin'," "You Don't Know My Name" and "If I Ain't Got You." The Grammy winner also took the opportunity to share new songs off her fifth studio album, Girl on Fire, which was released earlier that day.

Alicia was absolutely radiant onstage, delivering a powerful, engaging performance, but the songstress never looked so excited as she did while interacting with her number one fan -- her 2-year-old son, Egypt. The toddler danced and smiled in the wings along with father, Alicia's husband, Swizz Beatz, until it was time to join his superstar mom onstage.

Egypt bounced in Keys' arms during the live rendition of her hit "No One," and even took control of the mic to introduce the next song.

"I love you," Egypt told his mom, much to the audience's delight.

"I'm going to sing your favorite song right now. What song should I sing next?" Alicia asked. "What about the song, 'Brand New ...'," Alicia led, before passing the mic to Egypt.

"Part of Me," Egypt followed, finishing the lyrics to his mom's new Girl on Fire track, "Brand New Me."

That was just the sweetest thing ever. He is a doll baby and looks a lot like his mom when she was younger. Thank God she doesn't try to hide him away like some other celebrities do. I applaud her for sharing such a special moment with us.

Egypt is a gorgeous little baby just like his Mama. The problem I have with a baby brought on stage are the lights hurting their eyes and the noise level. But Alicia is his Mom and wouldn't do anything to hurt her precious little boy and she's naturally proud as punch and wants to show him off a little bit. That's an inborn reaction of a doting parent.

One problem that concerns me is "contact high". At every concert I have been to there has been use of drugs, especially smoking pot which I have witnessed myself. We all know what "contact high" is and I know it has gotten into my lungs and affected me.

Hopefully it never reaches the actual stage or the performers and little Egypt was not affected. But I do feel that is a viable concern.

LMFAO! omg do you know HOW much smoke has to be in a room in order to even get a buzz? not possible unless she was giving a concert at a pot convention. Plus, I have been two dozens of concerts....only 1 had someone smoking pot and it wasnt a performer like Alicia Keys.

So wonderful, and the photo is beautiful. The one thing that I see wrong with the picture is mom singing-with ear protection and her son doesn't appear to have anything to protect his little ears. With full on stage performance, it could get really over safe levels for kid's ears. Just a concern that should be taken seriously.

Those are actually in the ear monitors so she can hear all the members in the band at an equal volume. When your on stage it is not always possible to hear the backround singers and other instruments at the same volume so these are like mixers that are in the persons ears.

Hi Syl whats new

That's not ear protection, its a headphone monitor. We use it so that we can hear the music. It's much more effective than a floor monitor.

Nothing wrong with it if it wasn't too loud and if the baby had ear protection. What about when the carpenter or office worker takes their kid to work? Just because one is a musician does not make it a bad thing. Especially a successful artist that has proven it to be a viable profession.

I guess if they overdo it but this is no different than "Take your kid to work day"
Look at Frank Sinatra with his daughter Nancy and son Frank.
