JayLoud Shooting: 18-Year-Old Chicago Rapper Murdered While Wearing Lil JoJo Sweatshirt

Following Chief Keef rival Lil JoJo's death, fellow aspiring MC Joshua "JayLoud" Davis, also 18, was gunned down in his native Chicago at around 11:30PM on Christmas day.

According to reports, Davis got into an altercation after exiting a city bus in West Englewood, just blocks from his house, wearing a sweatshirt honoring Lil JoJo.

"He was killed because he was wearing a hoodie and getting off the bus," Davis' 24 year-old-sister Selina Davis said. "He was a great boy. He was only a baby."

The slain teen's cousin, Johnathan Moody, also 18, said he and his friends had warned Davis about wearing the Lil JoJo sweatshirt.

"We would tell him, 'That ain't good to wear that hoodie.' But that was his best friend," Moody said. "It's dumb. To kill someone over a hoodie? It's pointless, man. All this murder is pointless."

Davis' sister also lamented Chicago's recent increase in gun violence. "Kids killing kids. Mothers burying their kids ... How is this humanly possible that we as people cannot get these teenagers under control? I don't get it," she said. "Who takes someone's life on Christmas?"

Police are currently investigating the case to try to uncover a connection between JayLoud and JoJo's deaths, and Chief Keef's controversial 3Hunna Squad.

Thus far, the police have no suspects.

All of you **** talkers should shoot yoursleves... Only a racist, no good piece of **** with alot of mouth behind a keyboard can talk about how someone else shouldve lived his/her life. I bet if it was a white teen who got shot on christmas, it would be top news, and all of you ******* would be devastated. But since it was a black teen who just happened to live in a bad neighborhood and tried to use the only thing he could to get his family out of that neighborhood, which was rap. He deserved it. At least he wasnt out robbing and killing people, he expressed the things he had seen growing up on the southside of chicago. All of you ******* hypocrites should think twice before you open you mouth and get tough behind a computer screen. I guarantee not one of you would say any of the things your saying on these media sites about blacks and rappers would be said if one was present. All of you need to check the mirror before you judge someone else, because your life can be taken just as easy as anyone else... R.I.P. Josh

When a wack ass baby gangsta rapper dies ... even if he's someone's boy or brother ... that's cosmic justice. You want to ride on violence's coat tales you f@cks ... then go to f@cking hell in a closed casket. As callouss as this will sound: good riddance!

Why is this news? Its only news if a white guy would of shot him. There would of been riots in the street and they would of burned Chicago to the ground. Its ridiculous, where are all the politicians tweeting pictures of themselves with a lil JOJO hoodies?

The thugs and wannabe thugs are killing off each other, and the world is a slightly better place because of it.

As to the sister asking "why?",the answer is "Because that is your culture. Your babies born today want to grow up to be a thug that preys on the innocent during those brief periods when he isn't in prison.

Oh yes, it must have been the non white guy in Florida that did it. Even though he sitting in a jail still and without a trial still. And, I'm sorry the kid is dead, and that it happened on Christmas, BUT, WHAT was he doing out at 11:30 at night ON Christmas, instead of being with his family? And, based on the photo(s), video, his "gangsta" lifstyle he's doing, then getting into an "altercation" with someone, this kid had TROUBLE written all over him. Don't pull this "he was killed by simply wearing a hoodie" bullshit! He was wearing a hoodie, big whoop. He could've been wearing a jacket, a tank top, tee, or no shirt. And he STILL would have gotten into the "words/altercation" with someone because he acts like he's living the "thug life". And, he wasn't exactly in the best area any way, PLUS, Chicago's had a few hundred murders this year alone. Could have been random, but I doubt it. Ithink he was trying ot be a thug, just like his rap was showing, and he mouthed off at someone he thought he'd bully/intimidate, and it went the other way for him. IF he had been HOME wiht his Momma on Christmas at that time of night instead of the streets, he might be here today. I'm just say'n. But, STOP using this bullshit "oh, he was killed for wearing a hoodie and being black". No bitch he was killed because he met up with the wrong person, and because HE too was doing not so good things IN his life!! End of story.
