Katt Williams Arrested: Police Find Guns, Arrest Rapper for Child Endangerment

UPDATE (Dec. 30 5:30 p.m.): According to E! News, the LAPD said that one of the guns recovered from Katt William's home had been reported stolen and was loaded, which led to his arrest. Other details have not been revealed.

Comedian-turned-rapper Katt Williams is in trouble with the law again.

After years of legal problems, he was arrested last night (Dec. 28) for allegedly endangering four children, according to TMZ.

The site reports that LAPD arrested Katt at his house after the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services investigated the home and found numerous guns and illegal drugs, which created a safety hazard for the kids. Katt was held on a $100,000 bail and authorities put the four children in protective custody.

When Katt posted bail and left jail later last night, TMZ cameras caught up with him and he said that the guns were secured in a locked box. "If the police come in and raid my place and break into my gun boxes, you're gonna find guns! I'm not in a gang, what difference does it make?" he said. "How do you keep kids safe without guns?"

He also expressed anger over the situation, adding that the incident happened at his office and not at his house, as originally reported. "They took my children from me," he said. "How terrible is that?"

Asked if there were drugs at the house, he said, "You can look at my paperwork, there was no drugs ... weed is not a drug."

TMZ says that the case will go to the district attorney next week for possible child endangerment charges, which is a felony.

Natural herbs can be used in the medical field but so can other foods and herbs. Still doesn't make it a drug.

Weed is not a drug peeps. it is a natural herb that grows from the earth. Now the system has made it illegal but do you drink alcohol? If yes than you really have nothing to say about weed. Alcohol should be banned 2. Mostly our drunk people end up in jail b/c they can't hold their liquor and done something terribly wrong. Weed is not a drug.

I like Kat but at this point, he's the black version of Charlie Sheen. He needs 3 hots & a cot for a while to dry out. Then get out & start over clean, Kat. Otherwise, this cat is crashing hard fast.

When they get off of cat he won't legally be able to own a gun.states like Oklahoma and Florida etc...the white people are toting guns like Mat Dillion and even added swagger to they walk.it is sick.And if you visiting Florida you must be very careful they shoot young black men like they jack rabbits.Need to find another vacation spot.The last young black man shot there that was publisized was minding his own business,sitting in the back of a SUV and gets shot up ,because the white man thinks his music is to loud.God help these white people,they have been devils since the beginning of time.

I hope he gets his act together and don't let them crackers ruin him like they like to do.they are even puttin guns in the hands of white people to kill blacks,then they holla "stand your ground law"that's a bunch of bs.I wish the blacks would wake up before many more young black men loose their lives.the police will put charges on young blacks ,most don't qualify to have a gun permit.only white people qualify.it is a joke,if a charge needs to be put sum where it's goin on blacks,unless u can fight the charge you will be stuck with it.
