"[There are] no suspects and we not here to speculate on any suspects," Ross told MTV News on the red carpet. "I'm just staying positive, I'm moving forward and I'm just staying on top of my game."
That doesn't mean he's taking the botched hit lightly.
"You most definitely gotta make some adjustments," he said. "But at the same time I'mma live my life and I'mma do what I love to do, and that's make music."
Ross was more focused on the night's festivities -- his LP God Forgives, I Don't was nominated in the Best Rap Album category -- and was excited about being highlighted for his work.
"I took my time with that album," he explained. "I put a lot into it... Just being nominated, the feeling is surreal and I just feel blessed for the opportunity. That's what we in this for, that's what we work for. That's what we put in the long hours for, so it's wonderful."
The album wound up losing out to Drake's Take Care.
