The 2013 Oscars take place this Sunday (Feb. 24).

And while we'll be sure to enjoy the show -- Seth MacFarlane is hosting, in case you live under a rock -- we can't help but think back to a simpler time. That time? 2006. When Three 6 Mafia won the venerable Best Original Song award for "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp," their timeless classic from the soundtrack to Hustle & Flow.

Not only did they win the award, they got to perform the song, too. Amazing.

In case you forgot what that moment was like, and what it wrought for the group -- an ill-conceived MTV reality show, Adventures in Hollywood; a tepidly-received LP, Last 2 Walk -- let's revisit. A) Because it's awesome and b) because it's awesome.
