Kid Cudi, 'Immortal': MGMT Inspires Song From 'Indicud' LP

Kid Cudi is gearing up for the release of his new LP Indicud on April 23rd, and to that end has released a new song from the collection -- "Immortal."

The track finds Cudder rhyming over a sample of MGMT's "Congratulations."

"Ok, so heres what I did," the rapper explained last night on Twitter. "I took one of my favorite bands MGMT's song 'Congratulations', put it in reverse, sped it up, and produced over it."

Of course there was MGMT's involvement as well.

"Thank You so much to MGMT for clearing the sample," Cudi wrote. "LOVE YOU GUYS!!

We definitely think this is a return to form for Cudi, who's latest material has seemed a little unfocused. But you take a listen and be the judge.

he doesn't rhyme over the beat, he sings. and you make it sound like this song is cudi returning to his roots, when in fact i think its quite the opposite. sounds like it should have been on wzrd.
