Chief Keef Released from Prison

Chief Keef was released from jail yesterday (March 14), after serving a 60-day sentence for violating his probation on a gun conviction.

The violation occurred when he fired a rifle at a gun range during an on-camera interview with Pitchfork last summer.

Not only was he released yesterday, but according to the Chicago Tribune, his probation was ended as well.

"He's done," said his lawyer Dennis Berkson. "He's free to move on with his career."

There were reportedly close to two dozen assorted relatives, affiliates and supporters present at the Cook County Juvenile Justice Center when Keef was released.

Upon walking out, he was handed his baby daughter, while his uncle, Alonzo Carter, was said to be carrying a garbage bag full of notebooks. They were presumably filled with lyrics the young rapper had penned while incarcerated.

No word yet on when Keef will be baptized.

His lawyer said that he's done, and free to go back to his music. Rap music, and promoting hate and violence?
