A photo of LL and the famed guitarist was posted to Eddie's Twitter account on March 14 with a simple message -- "Authentic 4.30.13."
Another photo had been posted on March 4.
During LL's headlining performance at the Doritos Bold Stage at SXSW, he confirmed that Van Halen would be appearing on his new LP.
Other guests include Fitz and the Tantrums, Brad Paisley, Travis Barker, Tom Morello and Snoop Dogg.
