I do not believe in totally natural for women. For me, natural has something to do with vegetables." She's not wrong, she's just not right. [HuffingtonPost]

Beyonce and Russell Crowe to Star in Remake of 1930s Film

Beyonce and Russell Crowe

According to the Los Angeles Times' 24 Frames blog, Beyonce could be teaming up with 'Gladiator' star Russell Crowe for the remake of the 1937 flick 'A Star Is Born.' The movie, which originally starred Janet Gaynor and Fredic March, has already been reworked a few times with Judy Garland (1954) and Barbra Streisand (1976) reprising the role of singer/actress Esther.

So far, Nick Cassavettes ('The Notebook,' 'Alpha Dog' ) has been tapped to direct the film which is rumored to feature appearances by Alicia Keys and Rihanna. It's unclear what sort of spin Cassavettes and screenwriter Will Fetters will attempt for the new version of 'A Star Is Born,' but as mentioned by 24 Frames, a Crowe/Beyonce pairing would serve as the follow-up to the most notable onscreen interracial romance since Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston's love affair in 'The Bodyguard.'

There's no word on when production on the new millenium 'A Star Is Born' will begin. In the meantime, Crowe fans can see the 45-year-old actor in Ridley Scott's 'Robin Hood,' alongside Cate Blanchett, in May.

Detectives Say Lil Wayne Will be Treated Differently in Prison

Lil Wayne Tomorrow, (Feb. 9) is the big day that Lil Wayne finally heads off to prison, and although the Young Money all-star doesn't sound too choked up about it externally, the rest of us are at least a little curious about what a prison stretch looks like for a high profile rapper. In this month's issue of Rolling Stone, the New Orleans native explained that he wasn't interested in wasting much time talking about the upcoming bid, instead he just wanted to get it started and get it over with. "This is Lil Wayne going to jail. Nobody I can talk to can tell me what that's like," he said. "I just say I'm looking forward to it."

For the rest of us, however, retired NYPD detective Derrick Parker has tried to paint a picture of Weezy's upcoming life behind bars. Parker told MTV News that while officials would try to maintain some semblance of normalcy in the intended Rikers Island facility, Wayne would be treated differently from the average prisoner."Lil Wayne is gonna be OK," Parker told MTV News. "While he's in jail, it's a matter of fact they may not put him with the general population because of who he is and his popularity. They might lock him down and let him come out with a supervisor and stuff like that [when he's] in the main area - but he's definitely going to be treated differently."

Gucci Mane Checks in From Prison, Talks Sobriety

Gucci Mane seems to have gained a relatively clear head while in prison. In a recent interview, the incarcerated rapper talked about a wide range of issues including the reception of 'The State Vs. Radric Davis' and his association with drugs.

To start, Gucci cleared up rumors that cocaine usage was partially responsible for a failed test landing him back in prison. "My urinalysis was from, like, six months ago," he told XXL. "I think it was for marijuana. But it definitely wasn't from cocaine. I have never used cocaine. That's just not true. Then I stopped smoking and stopped drinking. For the last six months, I haven't used any drugs, and I will continue to claim sobriety."

As for serving another stint behind bars, Gucci is remaining optimistic and seems genuinely blessed by his recent fame and the public's attention to his record. "I put my record label together; my new situation with Warner went well," he reflected. "I built a lot of anticipation, I worked hard in those eight months, and I'm pleased with the recognition I'm getting. I'm at the height of my career so far. It's a blessing just to have people who would want to buy your stuff and to be anticipated. But in the little time I got here, I really can handle it. It's just a small little stepping-stone of where I've got to go."

Michael Jackson's Doctor Charged With Involuntary Manslaughter

Conrad MurrayAlmost eight months following the unexpected death of pop icon Michael Jackson, his personal physician -- Dr. Conrad Murray -- has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. Los Angeles prosecutors charged Murray on Monday (Feb. 8) saying that he "did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson."

Murray in previous months admitted administering the 50-year-old King of Pop with the powerful sedative propofol to help Jackson sleep, while he prepared for his string of 50 comeback concerts in London. Toxicology reports concluded that Jackson's death had been caused my a deadly mixture of propofol, the sedative lorazepam, while other painkillers and a stimulant were also found in his body. Murray, who was only hired a little over a month before Jackson's June 25 death, faces up to four years in prison if convicted.

Murray's lawyer, Ed Chernoff said: "We'll make bail, we'll plead not guilty and we'll fight like hell." The disgraced doctor is due in court to hear the charges brought against him later today.
