Instead, the rapper wants to stick to what he knows and will attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Record's record for longest freestyle on Dec. 19. Canadian rapper D.O. currently holds the Guinness record with his 8 hours and 45 min. long freestyle.

"I don't think it was ever a question of whether I could freestyle for x amount of time; I believe you can do anything you set your mind to," M-Eighty said in a statement. "I chose to take on this obstacle because at the end of the day I am providing a great service to others and doing something life altering for an entire community in the name of education."

And for M-Eighty this isn't just about smashing D.O.'s record. The feat will will also raise money for the construction of a secondary school in Africa. The rapper has teamed up with the International Studies Program at Indiana University/Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI) and the Timmy Foundation to raise $30,000. Good luck M. ...

DJ AM's Sneaker Collection Up for Auction

Fans of DJ AM, real name Adam Goldstein, can have a piece of the late celebrity spinner thanks to the DJ AM Memorial Fund Sneaker Auction, arranged by Undefeated, the Creative Visions Foundation and AM's estate.

On Thursday night, Snoop Dogg proved that he's got a bevy of hits when he took over New York's Nokia Theater and rocked the crowd for nearly an hour.

San Francisco MCs the Hustle Boys warmed up the crowd of early birds before handing the stage over to Devin the Dude. The Rap-A-Lot rapper got the crowd hype with his '98 hit 'Mo Fa Me' and ran through his pro weed and sex jams, wrapping things up with the sing songy track 'Anythang.'

Just when we thought it couldn't get hazier [see: marijuana clouds], Redman and Method Man led off their set with 'Ayo' off their new album 'Blackout! 2.' Known as the most energetic duo to ever take a stage, Red and Meth took it back to the Nineties with the New Jersey rapper's '93 hit 'Time 4 Sum Aksion' and Method Man's 'Bring the Pain.' Gilla House MC Ready Roc joined Red and Meth on stage and dropped a freestyle, opening the door for Meth associate Streetlife to spit 16 bars for the crowd. ...
Snoop took the stage -- at 10:30PM -- rocking a New York Yankees fitted cap and jacket, and dropped a freestyle over Jay-Z's 'Empire State of Mind.' Snoop launched into his classics with Kurupt and Daz by his side and let The Dogg Pound run through hits before bringing out Lady of Rage. As expected, Rage got the crowd pumped with 'Afro Puffs.' Snoop took a moment to pay tribute to Tupac Shakur before wrapping up his with all our favorites from 'Ain't No Fun (If the Homies Can't Have None)' to 'Sensual Seduction' and 'Drop It Like It's Hot.'
An hour and 30 minutes later, Snoop thanked the New York crowd for showing him love and plugged his upcoming album 'Malice N Wonderland,' which hits stores on December 8.
