Getty Images After experiencing multiple seizures earlier this month, Lil Wayne is talking about his health problems. In an interview with Power 106 on March 28, the rapper addressed his hospitalization, including what triggered the attacks. ...

"The bad news is I'm an epileptic, I'm prone to seizures," Wayne said. "Like, this isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures, y'all just never hear about them."

The "No Worries" hitmaker explained that this incident was particularly severe.

"But this time it got real bad 'cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent," the rapper said. "Basically, I could've died, so that is why it was so serious. But the reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself."

Despite the health risk, Weezy is prepared to handle the seizures.

"Certain times I don't even go to the hospital, but this time, it was real bad because, like I said, it was three in a row, and I've never had three back to back like that," he said.

Although the singer claimed to have quit taking drugs, she admitted she still harbored a nicotine addiction. "We were trying to get her to stop smoking," Davis tells Playboy, WENN.com reports. "It was a serious problem because it affected her singing. She would say, 'I kicked the drug habit, but this is more difficult.' She had cut back on cigarettes, but the week she died she came to my bungalow and said, 'I understand I can't just cut back. I've got to stop. I promise I will.'" ...

Ultimately, it was Houston's drug problem that contributed to her untimely death

"I only became aware of any problem in maybe the mid-1990s," the record exec says. "I didn't know she was in trouble. I didn't know how bad her problem was. It was after a Michael Jackson concert at Madison Square Garden in the late 1990s when I knew [for sure]. She showed up ghastly thin. I met with her."

Davis believes that for a period of time, at least, the "I Will Always Love You" singer managed to stay sober.

"We talked about the drugs she was using," Davis added. "I tried to help her. I tried to work with the family to help her. She did better for a long time, at least as far as I knew."

The same hotel in which the singer met her unfortunate demise on the eve of the 2012 Grammy Awards. The family is set to attend Clive Davis' pre-Grammy Awards party. "We're going in support of Clive to show our appreciation of him as he honors Whitney," Pat Houston, the singer's sister-in-law and business manager, said at Madame Tussauds in New York on Tuesday. ...

Davis' gathering is a tradition in music industry circles, and Houston -- a protege of Davis -- was typically a fixture at the shindig. She was set to attend last year before she was found face down in her hotel room bathtub.

But Houston's family is hoping people remember the fallen diva for the right reasons.

"She was truly the voice," Pat Houston, her sister-in-law, said. "She was a matchless woman when it came to her life and legacy. She was absolutely amazing. Embrace the life of Whitney Houston as that woman that was in a different stratosphere when it came to her craft."

Houston's brother, Michael Houston, recently admitted to introducing the singer to drugs, which contributed to her untimely death.

Janette Beckman Jose James' No Beginning No End was born during a dinner party. A dinner party at Pino Palladino's house, to be exact. The Minneapolis native was living in London when a friend gave him Palladino's number, which led to an invitation to dine at the famed guitarist's house. When the meal ended, however, James' album began. As the two sat in Palladino's studio, Palldino played a few chords he had never been able to do anything with and challenged James to compose something "interesting and jazzy" with them. Fifteen minutes later, "Make It Right" -- the first song off of No Beginning No End -- was written. ...

"That was the beginning of our relationship," James recalls. "That song was really key because Pino ended up co-producing the album with me, which was a complete dream come true. Something that I never thought would happen."

The album, James' Blue Note debut, reflects the influences of his childhood: His Panama-born father's career as a tenor sax and percussion musician, and the funk, R&B and folk music his mother would play in the car. James himself sang in a choir and played jazz guitar in high school.

In stores Jan. 22, No Beginning No End is a showcase of James' multifaceted musical background, as drawn out by Palladino.

"He really brings out the best in everybody that's around him and I can't say that about every artist or musician," James says. "He has no ego, he's totally selfless and there for the music and that energy in song-writing or rehearsing, anything. He just uplifts the whole performance. I couldn't have made this album this way without him."

The project weaves different relationships through songs such as "Come To My Door," "Heaven on the Ground," and the standout "Trouble." James doesn't give names, but his method of drawing inspiration leaves room for discussion.

"Whenever I'm talking about relationships, it's always at least three things," he says. "It's my relationship with myself, my relationship with God or an idea, and then usually somebody, a real person. I try to operate on all three levels at the same time and it's difficult, but I never want to have a break-up song or something like that. I try to open it up so people can get a lot of interpretations, which are all probably correct."

James doesn't hesitate to discuss one of his relationships -- that with jazz pianist and recorder producer Robert Glasper. Glasper's jazz background and variety of musical influences made him an ideal contributor to No Beginning No End.

"He was playing down at the Village Vanguard in New York and I reached out to him and he invited me down before the show," James says. "We sat in the famous club, the best jazz club in the world, and at that piano that McCoy Tyner and all the legends played on, and we wrote the song 'Vanguard.' I thought it was a cool double meaning -- obviously the club, but also because I consider him to be at a new 'vanguard' of music, this kind of connecting the dots between soul/jazz/hip-hop/gospel and pop music. Nobody plays like him, nobody sounds like him."

No Beginning No End marks a milestone in James' growth as an artist. Two years ago he found himself in Paris, financing an album and uncertain of the outcome. Just as a dinner with Pino Palladino changed James' career, a meal with Saul Williams and Cody ChesnuTT two years ago gave him the courage to pursue his dream.

"They just said 'Doesn't matter. Just follow your dream, follow your voice. Follow that and let it happen and good things come from that,'" James recalls. "Sure enough, here I am signed to Blue Note, met Pino Palladino, Hindi Zahra, Robert Glasper, and about to tour the world with my new album. They were absolutely right."

We're not the only ones concerned -- in August 2011, rapper the Game appeared in a video revealing his plan for the end of the world. "We're all gonna die," Game states matter-of-factly at the start of the video. After instilling a deep sense of doom in his viewers, Game continues, recommending parents stay home and play Scrabble with their kids so they won't have to "scramble" to find them once the world ends. Also, he suggests everyone check his or her earthquake kit to make sure it's intact. Check. ...

The Game understands that some of us might be scared. His soothing message to those people is, "For you pussies out there who are scared or don't know what to do, just sit indian-style and pray, man. That worked for me."

While we appreciate the Game shedding these pearls of wisdom, we also wanted to take a look at how he actually spent 2012.

In November, he stopped by the AOL office in New York City to flaunt not one, but two, Jesus pieces.

While talking with The BoomBox, he admitted, "I like smoking weed, I like going to strip clubs, fried chicken. You might see me on Worldstar fighting sometimes. Doesn't mean that I don't love Jesus." That might be a clue as to how he spent his year.

Game also announced he will be launching his own label, Rolex Records. You know, for any post-apocalyptic music-making that may occur.

Lastly, we saw Game show off his sweet new ride, a Bugatti Veyron, which will come in handy when he's scrambling to get his kids.

So maybe he wasn't winning game after game of Scrabble, but it looks like he's had an eventful year nonetheless.

Thanks, Game, for proving that the Mayans weren't the only ones with inaccurate predictions for 2012.

The December/January issue of the mag features Brown on their cover, and the publication gave a sneak peek at his first major interview in two years. Brown addresses a hot topic: his on-and-off again relationship with Rihanna. Whether things are heating up or cooling down, however, he won't say. "One thing people often want me to talk about is my public love life," he tells the magazine. "When it comes to my love life, the perception seems as though I am a player. But that's not true. Love is something I am still learning. It's just an obstacle that I haven't yet mastered. I think that's my biggest hurdle in life." ...

That's not the only relationship he mentioned. After his alleged altercation with Drake in a nightclub, the "Don't Wake Me Up" singer doesn't feel threatened by the talented rapper or another one of his peers.

"A lot of people wanna know about the whole situation with me, Drake and Meek Mill," he says. "At the end of the day, I'm me, they're them. They rap, I sing. Totally different caliber. I rap, I play around on mixtapes. But our words don't collide as much as you'd think."

As the scandal spread, Cole didn't back down.

"Evil a$$ haters STAY on some BullShyt! Y'all wish! Lol," she posted this morning.

Despite the rumors, Cole's fans are jumping to her defense, tweeting their support of the singer. One fan even commented that the woman in the photo has a tattoo that Cole doesn't have.

Although the full-length versions of the tracks won't be available until True drops on Nov. 27, these 30-second snippets provide a pretty good indication of what to expect. From what we can tell, the songstress strays from the power ballads typical of her sister Beyonce in favor of lighter, '80s pop-inspired tracks. One such track, "Losing You," puts an upbeat spin on a questionable relationship, but Solange revealed that the mood of True wasn't always so lighthearted. ...

"My references for the record were all Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, not just their typical Janet and Prince stuff, but SOS Band and their b-sides with Chaka Khan," Solange told V. "At first the songs were really dark because I had a premonition before the record that I was going to die. I was having panic attacks and wiling out."

Columbia Records It's not every day that T. Mills greets a rapper by lifting up his shirt. It was the first day on tour, the 23-year-old artist in question was the headliner -- someone you may have heard of named Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony -- and the flash of skin was no wardrobe malfunction. The instance is the only time the rapper, born Travis Mills, will admit to fanning out over an artist. ...

"I was watching him soundcheck [for] 'First of the Month' and all these songs I grew up listening to," T. Mills explains to The BoomBox. "He came up to me right after he was done and we shook hands and hung out the whole tour."

The rapper subsequently showed Bizzy the ink on his chest, which was lyrics for Bone Thugs' song "Only Time Will Tell."

And how telling that sentiment is.

In just a few short years, the California native went from making music in his parents' house to working crowds all over the world with songs like "Vans On" and the legacy-defining "Diemonds." While T. Mills initially declines to cite one standout collaboration -- "It wouldn't be fair of me to say one person because literally everyone that's been on my dream producer list, with the exception of a few people, I've had the opportunity to work with" -- he eventually relents.

"James Fauntleroy, he's on the song 'Clique' by Kanye West, is one person that I was such a huge fan of as an artist," the rapper says. The two met as T. Mills was leaving a studio session with mutual friend Brody Brown.

"We became friends and he just started coming to my sessions and writing with me," T. Mills recalls. "The dude's literally genius. His song structure, his wordplay -- I listen to everything he's said because he really knows what he's talking about. He's written some of the biggest songs for some of the biggest artists and he just really challenges me and puts my brain to the test."

Fauntleroy worked on the rapper's upcoming track, "Somebody to Miss You," and while T. Mills says each studio session as a whole is a learning experience, he did learn something from the producer.

"James was one of those first people that I played 'Diemonds' for and was he like, 'Yo, just be dope. When you die, you don't want to do no wack shit. You want to just be dope.'"

T. Mills, consider it mission accomplished.

While many scorned women can relate to the girl-power anthem featured on her 2006 B'Day, it was one particular woman that inspired Ne-Yo to pen the track. In his VH1 "Behind the Music" special, which aired Sunday night (Sept. 23), the R&B singer describes how his aunt demanded that an unfaithful boyfriend put all of his things in a box on the left side of the closet. ...

Ne-Yo says his aunt had a successful career and was very generous with the man. That is, until he cheated.

"I remember him coming to the house and him looking in the closet and going, 'Where's my this, where's my that?' and she said, 'Oh, in the box to the left of the closet. Everything you own is in that box and everything I bought is over here,'" Ne-Yo recalls.

Judging by the looks of Beyonce's Tumblr photos, featuring candid photos of husband Jay-Z and their daughter, Blue Ivy, it doesn't look like she'll order the rapper to pack up his things anytime soon.

Columbia Records At only 23 years old, T. Mills is already considering his legacy. Although the new video for his song "Diemonds" shows the lanky, tattooed rapper, born Travis Mills, owning stages on the Warped Tour and greeting underwear-throwing fans, he is looking at a bigger picture. "Everything just kind of hit me when I was 18," he tells The BoomBox. "Not what happens when you die, but what do you want to be remembered by?" ...

For the California native, forging his legacy in the music industry meant quitting sports at 15 and joining a band. Despite his family's initial hesitation -- his parents didn't understand his excitement at yielding 30,000 plays on the internet -- they attended one of his shows and witnessed his fans' reaction to his music. Subsequently, they gave him a year to land a record deal.

It was game on.

"I have parents who care about me, so it wasn't like, 'OK, Travis is going to drop out of school and he's going to do music and we'll see how this goes,'" he says. "I really had to put in the effort and start something from nothing."

T. Mills' determination is inspired by the willpower he sees in his entrepreneur father, and is reflected in "Diemonds" with the line, "Kind of like a diamond, you mine yourself." (By the way, his dad makes a cameo in the video. Look for the "the huge dude in the red shirt all the way to the right" around the 45-second mark.)

Talking to the rhymer about his yet unnamed 2013 album, it's clear that his determination goes hand in hand with perfectionism. Case in point: a favorite track he is considering as the lead single.

Produced by a slew of players in the hip-hop game -- including Boi-1da, Cook Classics and Ludwig Göransson -- "Somebody to Miss You" has T. Mills singing soul melodies alongside his raps, a sound he promises is "groundbreaking." It took eight months and seven stints in recording studios across North America before he was satisfied with the finished track.

"Sometimes you record a song and it will take you a day, sometimes three days, but I've never recorded a song in the States, flown to Canada and recorded it, and flown back to the States and recorded it," he reveals. "It has all of these different pieces from where I was in the world."

The Leaving Home creator -- the name of one his prior EPs -- uses the experience of "Somebody to Miss You" to set the standard for the legacy he wants to leave behind.

"When I'm old, I want to have an album to show my kids that I can be proud of," T. Mills shares. "I'm taking my time and like I said with 'Somebody to Miss You,' we didn't stop until we got it right. That's how I feel every song on this album needs to be and I'm down to put the work in to do it."
