Perfect Flirting Onstage

Live shows are a great way to connect with your favorite R&B artist. It's where the best ones let their personalities shine, flirting with the audience playfully. Even looking at old Marvin Gaye performances, he always had a twinkle in his eye onstage. A subtle wink, a joke thrown at the group in the rafters -- these things make a night at the arena seem like you're at Mary J. Blige's house for coffee. The live performance is a lost art, mainly because too many singers take themselves too seriously, but chanteuses like Estelle, Marsha Ambrosius and Melanie Fiona set the bar for a good time to be had.
