5. Remy Ma Shoots Her Friend ... Twice

It's one thing to shoot a friend, but it's another thing to shoot a friend twice. Now that's true friendship. Sarcasm aside, that's actually what put "Conceited" rapper Remy Ma in the slammer for eight years. Ma got into a spat with frenemy Makeda Barnes-Joseph, whom she accused of stealing thousands of dollars while at a friend's birthday party. Barnes-Joseph took two bullets during a struggle with the rapper inside a vehicle, but lived to tell about it. She even unsuccessfully attempted to sue Remy and her record label for millions. This story does have a happy ending though. While the former Terror Squad rapper may have lost a friend, she gained a husband, marrying her longtime flame Papoose while inside the slammer.

Verdict: Don't ask Remy Ma to borrow a buck.
